LEADING DESIGN CONCEPTS
Smooth lines combine with up-to-date technical content while formal elegance harmonizes with refined colours: this new kitchen reflects the design philosophy of its designers, architects Lucci & Orlandini, who maintain that design must not dominate entirely with its shapes but rather enhance functionality, offering well-planned spaces geared to different uses, immediately made attractive and informal.
This has led to Starlight, a kitchen with international appeal, with its elegant modern style and new personal and stylish layout based on a refined single-colour for smooth clear-cut space. Light and shades of the same colour create a unique and unmistakeable style, where operational functionality truly becomes instantly visible tangible quality.
Starlight is for consumers with contemporary tastes, who are inclined to organize their time and space for socializing and communicating. The home, particularly the kitchen, is a place where smooth shapes convey comfort and relaxation, encouraging activities and movement characterized by shared functions and social gatherings.
SMOOTH ELEGANT SHAPES
Simple and minimalist, instantly capturing our feelings and senses, shape is always the outcome of a complex variety of developed ideas, technology and materials.
In a completely subtle way, the protagonists of the Starlight kitchen are the curved elements of work areas. Fluid sinuous lines blend for a valuable material effect, which involves a worktop, back panel and shelf with fitted light, creating an open kitchen layout characterized by bright spaces and large dimensions.
This kitchen extends with its simple linear lines and pure shapes, embellished with fine finishes in top-quality materials, which encourage you to touch them.
Its 22cm thick doors, available with a Solid Surface finish, are elegant and simple with a grip-recess handle. Not only does this feature provide great aesthetic appeal but also a simple grip. Simple details are expressed in a precise and attractive design, in line with the requirements of a contemporary lifestyle.
SPECIALIZED OPERATIONAL CENTRALITY
With its functional and operational features, Starlight is the outcome of wide-ranging research aimed at providing cutting-edge functional elements via design.
In fact, the work, sink and hob areas are like functional units positioned on the worktop, with fluid lines clearly characterized by design and functionality: surfaces with a Solid Surface finish and highly functional and “specialized” areas for “EATING”, “COOKING” and “WASHING”. All with top-performing characteristics that make them hygienic, easy to clean and, above all, attractive to touch.
These areas have a specialized functional content and ergonomic shape that facilitates the positioning of its various components.
This kitchen has great appeal, with its powerful design based on a highly versatile functional lay out: these surfaces are available grouped together as a single hob & sink block (240 cm wide) or as two separate blocks (160 cm wide). In both cases, a high capacity oval-shaped sink is equipped with an incorporated and removable vegetable drainer basket, glass drainer and sponge and detergent rack; all housed in a single functional unit. The stainless steel flush-fitted hob is also oval-shaped, with handy separate controls for each burner, and incorporated multi-purpose trays and pot stands.
A third solution can be added: a special counter that can be used for food preparation, social moments or as a table, providing a functional element for the kitchen.
Special accessories with Solid Surface finish have been designed to complement functions in work areas, which can be positioned on worktops (fruit bowl and spice rack) or attached to a shelf with fitted light (kitchen roll holders and small multi-purpose shelves).
The harmonious effect of functional surfaces, accessories and overall elegant appeal add character and distinction to a variety of kitchen areas in different styles.
LIGHT FOR SHAPE AND FUNCTIONS
An additional new feature of this kitchen is lighting, the true protagonist of Starlight. With its homogeneous nature and highly attractive appeal, the light in this kitchen focuses on all work areas, truly fulfilling its function.
State-of-the-art and eco-friendly light: top-design input can be found in Starlight with an equipped, modular and continuous shelf, fitted with a low-consumption high-performing light.
This shelf, available in sections, has a fitted light extending along the entire arrangement, and can either be fitted to extend below wall units or positioned in the middle of the kitchen. The upper surfaces of this structure are in stainless steel while the lower illuminated front part is in glass. The depth of the shelf (38 cm) enables any wall units with lift-up doors to be positioned. Moreover, the aesthetic and functional continuity of the shelf with fitted light is ensured as it extends the entire length of an incorporated extractor hood, which almost conceals it.
Functional units with Solid Surface finish are also equipped along their entire length with elegant and decorative diffused LED strip lighting, an addition to the refined and suffused atmosphere of the room.
Light provides atmosphere but it is particularly used for functions. In fact, all base units and cupboards have a fitted light inside.
Refinement, operational simplicity and ergonomics are the key concepts for smooth functionality in the Starlight kitchen, which perfectly offers a combination of top-design and functional elements.
