Sail: 14 m2 surface area - 340° through rotation with manual fastening in definitive position.
An electric motor opens / closes the sail.
Sail fabric: Dacron® Tetrapolyethylene filament, a synthetic polymer derived from oil technology. Dacron® retains its shape when wet and is also resistant to UV rays.

Pino Spagnolo – Biography
Pino Spagnolo has been working in the Industrial Design sector for over thirty years, developing projects for several leading Italian and European manufacturers of household and electrical goods, and working with prestigious brands from various sectors, such as Gobbi, Alfamarine, Dalla Pietà, C.C.Y.D. constructors, etc.
He was born in Carmiano (Lecce) in 1948. After graduating in Architecture from the Polytechnic of Turin in 1974 he set up SIGMA DESIGN in 1978, with a view to promoting further involvement in all the other themes linked to Industrial Design, namely production, advertising communications, packaging and image. Pino Spagnolo now focuses on everinnovative research and design projects to make “Italian style the protagonist”. Design is envisaged as the synthesis of aesthetics, functionality, technology and ergonomics. After the pencil – a rudimentary tool, but the only one that can power his creative spark – his designing method has led him to use the technology of prototyping, which is pivotal in the optimization of the passage from the initial design to its final version. In recent years his works have been shown at exhibitions and he has received recognition from such influential institutes as the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in New York. He has also held some personal design exhibitions in several European capitals.
